Catholic Diocese of Ndola Bishop, the Rt. Rev. Dr. Bishop Benjamin Phiri over the weekend
made his Pastoral visit to St. Joseph’s Mission in Lufwanyama District to grace the 90th
anniversary celebrations St. Joseph’s Mission is established and run by the Order of the Franciscan Minor Convertual Friars.

On Sunday 29th July 2023, the community of St. Joseph ‘s Mission and surrounding
outstations celebrated 90th anniversary of its existence and evangelization. The colourful
and joyous event started with Mass and the Main celebrant was the bishop and later there
was a reception. During Mass, the Bishop conferred the sacrament of confirmation to 200
candidates and encouraged them to be more prayerful and to put God first in everything
they will be doing.
