On September 28, 2024, the Pastoral Fund Presentation Mass was held at Konkola Stadium in Chililabombwe, bringing together clergy and lay faithful from across the Archdiocese of Ndola. The event, organized by the Catholic Men’s Organisation (CMO), is an annual occasion where funds raised by the CMO to support pastoral activities in the Archdiocese are formally presented to the Archbishop. The Mass, a highlight of the day, was celebrated by the Most Rev. Dr. Benjamin Phiri, JCD, Archbishop of Ndola. An all-men choir enhanced the service with their beautiful singing, adding to the spiritual ambiance of the occasion. In his homily, Archbishop Phiri expressed heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to the Pastoral Fund, regardless of the size of their donation. He emphasized the importance of unity, love, and cooperation within the Church, urging congregants to support one another and never to look down on anyone, regardless of their social status. After the Mass, the highlight of the event took place: the presentation of the funds to the Archbishop, followed by the awarding of trophies to the deaneries and parishes that made outstanding contributions. The event also marked the official launch of the Catholic Men’s League (CML), a new initiative within the archdiocese. Mass concluded with a final blessing, leaving participants inspired and unified in their mission to support the Church.
