Pastoral Fund Presentation and Award Ceremony.
The Pastoral Fund Presentation and Award Ceremony was held on September 28, 2024, at Konkola Stadium in Chililabombwe. Organized by the Catholic Men’s Organisation (CMO), the event serves to raise funds to support pastoral activities in the Archdiocese of Ndola. The day began with a Mass celebrated by the Most Rev. Dr. Benjamin Phiri, JCD, Archbishop of Ndola. Following the Mass, the Catholic Men’s Organisation presented a cheque worth K2,283,461.25 to Archbishop Phiri, marking a successful fundraising effort. After which an Award ceremony recognized the outstanding contributions from various parishes and deaneries succeeded. St. Peter and Paul Parish, Chingola, was awarded third place for raising K202,000. Second place went to St. Pius Parish, Lubengele-Chililabombwe, which contributed K222,000. The top parish was Our Lady of Africa, which raised an impressive K240,000. The event was a celebration of unity, generosity, and dedication to supporting the Church’s pastoral mission, leaving the attendees inspired to continue their contributions.
