The Catholic Church, all around the world, today celebrates Palm Sunday. This is an important feast that commemorates the triumphant entry of Jesus into Jerusalem. According to our Liturgical Calendar Palm Sunday marks the beginning of Holy Week, during which we journey with Christ in his Death and Resurrection. The Cathedral of Christ the King community celebrated this feast day with the Bishop of Ndola – Rt. Rev. Dr. Benjamin Phiri JCD who was the main celebrant of the Eucharistic Celebration. The Mass was preceded with a Joyful procession, during with the lay- faithful waved their blessed palms as they walked in to the church. Below are some highlights of the colourful celebration.
