On 8th July 2023, the Diocese of Ndola held an ordination to diaconate. The hosting Deanery was Bwana Mkubwa. Many thanks to go to all the Priests, the Religious Men and Women and the lay faithful of the Deanery to ensure that the ordination was well prepared and celebrated with order, great participation and devotion.

The Mass took place at St. Matthias Mulumba Parish in Bwana Mkubwa Deanery, Ndola. The ordaining bishop was Rt. Rev. Clement Mulenga SDB of Kabwe Diocese who ordained 3 candidates to the order of diaconate. In his homily, the bishop encouraged the Deacons to be prayerful, committed to duty, fearless in the proclamation of the Gospel, care for the people of God, service at the Altar as well as custodians and administrators of the temporal goods of the Church.

A lot of people from all walks of life attended the holy event and we had a number of  Priests, Religious Men and Women coming through. Special mention goes to main Celebrant, Rt. Rev. Clement Mulenga, SDB; Very Rev. Fr. Raphael Chanda, the Director of Pastoral programmes and his team, the Dean of Bwana Mkubwa; and the Priest -in -charge of St. Matthias Mulumba Parish, Rev. Fr. Mwansa Kabamba
