Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
On the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Holy Cross Masala Parish in Ndola was graced with a beautiful and spiritually uplifting Mass celebrated by Archbishop Dr. Benjamin Phiri, JCD. The celebration coincided with the Archbishop’s 4th anniversary of his installation as the Bishop of Ndola Diocese, making the occasion even more special. The Mass was marked by vibrant singing and dancing, with choirs, ba Buomba, and Stellars bringing the liturgy to life with their joyful expressions of faith. The congregation was moved by the atmosphere of devotion and unity.
In his homily, Archbishop Phiri encouraged all present to grow closer to the Blessed Mother through the frequent recitation of the Rosary. He emphasized the power of Mary’s intercession, especially at the time of death, and urged the faithful to repent and sincerely convert from worldly ways. Drawing from Mary’s example, he called on everyone to emulate her in serving their communities with love and humility. The Mass concluded with prayers at the Grotto dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary, where the Archbishop and the faithful offered their petitions and expressed their devotion to Our Lady, seeking her guidance and protection.
