Diocesan Young Adult Days
Ndola Diocese recently held its first ever Diocesan Young Adults Days in Chililabombwe, at Chililabombwe Secondary School from the 3rd to 5th May 2018. This gathering was well represented with young adults from all 10 Deaneries of Ndola Diocese.
The first day was characterized by adoration and a shot pilgrimage to the main area where Mufulira deanery handed over the cross to Chililabombwe Deanery. Fr. Simon kaunda then gave an talk on the theme “young people, faith and vocational discernment”and Fr. Denis Muchunguzi gave the closing prayer and blessing.
Friday was the main day and was kicked off with a talk by Fr. Peter Mwila on Catholic courtship, engagement and marriage. A second talks the given by Fr. Innocent Bwalya on love and responsibility.The Focolare Movement all gave a presentation on their Movement.
Fr. Gervase Mukuka the Diocesan exorcist than conducted healing and deliverance assisted by his fellow priests. The session was marked with a great move of the Holy Spirit as the people where set free.
The evening ended with Fr. Chalwe Chonde giving talk on doctrinal foundation of the Catholic church.
On the last day the young adults celebrated a thanksgiving mass with Chililabombwe Vicar Forane, Rev. Fr. Peter Mobe.
Young Adults from all the 10 deaneries gave petitions during mass.
The end of gathering was marked with a vote of thanks from the Assistant Youth Coordinator and Rev. Fr. Mobe who was standing in for the Apostolic Administrator of Ndola, Archbishop Dr. Alick Banda.
