CELEBRATION OF FAITH AND COMMUNITY SPIRIT IN KAWAMA.
On 7th July 2024, Very Rev. Fr. Lewis Mutachila, Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Ndola, joined Rev. Fr. Rafiki Epimaque -Parish Priest of St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish, Kawama to celebrate Mass at the church’s Pinegroove plot.
The purpose of the Mass was to rally the local community, urging them to take a leading role in the construction of their new church.
This call to action resonated deeply with parishioners, especially the members from the vibrant Small Christian Communities of St. Paul SCC and St. Stephen SCC who are located in the Pinegroove area.
This initiative aligns closely with the Archdiocese of Ndola’s vision of becoming a self-sustaining church, fostering a sense of ownership and responsibility among its members.
Very Rev. Fr. Mutachila’s presence and message reinforced the parish’s commitment to faith, unity, and collective action, setting a positive tone for the future as they embark on this transformative journey of faith and community development.
