CDON MONITORING FIELD VISIT.
The Monitoring & Evaluation and ICT department of the Catholic Diocese of Ndola in-conjunction with Environmental Health Officers, conducted their routine monitory field visit to monitor and assess the impact of the CAFOD MF6 project in the four target communities of Kitwe District. These communities include Race course, Kawama/Kamatipa, Itimpi and Ipusukilo. The team particularly focused on Output 3, with emphasis on Improving community and Household water supply, sanitation and hygiene practices. The team conducted monitoring of households, where tippy taps and upgradable Blair VIP toilets were installed, as well as the maternal health facilities that were renovated under the project. Part of the monitory visit included holding a focus group discussion with the associations formed under the project whose aim is to improve the livelihood conditions in their communities. The associations after training and being supplied with enterprise starter kits are expected to rare chickens; grow mushrooms, rare goats and farming of climate resistant crops.
