CAFOD Closeout Cocktail.
On 1st October 2021, the Catholic Diocese of Ndola officially closed the CAFOD UKAID March-fund 6 project that run from October 2018 to October 2021. The Closeout Cocktail took place at Garden Court hotel in Kitwe. Arrival of guests at the cocktail included representatives from the Government ministries that worked with the Catholic Diocese of Ndola to make the project a success. Some of the Government ministries represented were the Ministries of Health, Water and Sanitation, Community Development, Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and vet, and the Ministry of Water Resources. Notably in attendance was the Acting District Commissioner of Chililabombwe- Mr. Chipawa Chipawa and the District Administrative Officer for Mpongwe- Mr. Banda.
From the Catholic Diocese of Ndola, the Vicar General- Rev. Fr. Christopher Chowa, Director of Social Project and Programmes- Rev. Fr. Bernard Kapambwe, Finance Manager- Rev. Fr. Augustine Mwansa, HR Manager- Mr. Grensio Tembo and the Health Manager- Mr. Kabwe Kampamba, together with selected CDoN staff attended the Closeout Cocktail. The beautiful evening was hosted by M& E Officer- Mrs. Gloria Mandeva Mupinga and OVC Officer – Ms. Pauline Mumbi. The Closeout Cocktail began with an opening prayer, followed by a brief history of the project’s Journey- the achievements and the challenges that were encountered. Guests were later given an opportunity to share their fondest memories of the project. Towards the end of the cocktail the Vicar General – Rev. Fr. Chowa then gave a brief remarks over the project and declared it officially closed. Guests were treated to some snacks, cocktails and music as they mingled and interacted. The Acting District Commissioner of Chililabombwe – Mr. Chapiwa Chapiwa gave a vote of thanks to the Catholic Diocese of Ndola for the successful implementation of the CAFOD UKAID March- fund 6 project.
