St. Augustine Parish yesterday celebrated mass with Pastoral Director, Rev. Fr. Mathews Mumba, who conferred the sacrament of confirmation on 30 Candidates.

The small church was filled to capacity as the celebration of mass began.

The readings where taken and Fr. Victor Mwango read the Gospel.

The congregation then enjoyed the Homily of Rev. Fr. Mumba, which began with the short  but interesting Q & A for the Confirmation candidates.

He then proceeded to give a powerful homily on self examination and sin, that rung true to everyone present, as the congregation muttered agreements amougest themselves.

Rev. Fr. Mumba then conferred the sacrament of confirmation on 30 candidates.

Mass continued with offering.

Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Hergraves Chanda gave a vote of thanks for the people involved in the successful mass and pastoral visitation of their Parish.He also thanked  His Grace, Archbishop Dr, Alick Banda’s for sending Fr. Mumba on his behalf.

  Fr. Mumba encouraged the parishioner to always pray for their priests and to pray that  God gives the Diocese of Ndola a Shepherd soon. Mass came to an ended with the main celebrant Rev. Fr. Mumba giving the final blessing
