Mass at Blessed Anuarite Parish, Kitwe
On January 22nd, 2025, as the Archbishop of Ndola Archdiocese, Dr. Benjamin Phiri, JCD, presided over a special mass at Blessed Anuarite Parish in Kitwe. The parish, overflowing with parishioners, witnessed the solemn blessing and consecration of the newly constructed altar and tabernacle. Fr. Chrispine Katongo, the parish priest, warmly welcomed the Archbishop and the congregation. Archbishop Phiri, in his insightful homily, spoke about the profound significance of the altar, emphasizing its role as a sacred space of sacrifice. He drew a powerful parallel, urging the congregation to mirror the consecration of the altar with the consecration in their own hearts, emphasizing the need to be free from sin. Archbishop Phiri further emphasized the importance of inner conversion, urging all to turn their hearts towards God and strive for holiness, particularly within the sanctity of their homes. Following the inspiring mass, a vibrant procession led the congregation to the newly erected grotto. The atmosphere was charged with joy and reverence as Archbishop Phiri blessed the grotto, marking its official opening.
