Today, November 18, 2023, the Catholic Women’s Organization held a Thanksgiving Mass at the Cathedral of Christ the King. The Mass was celebrated by Rt. Rev. Dr. Benjamin Phiri, JCD, Bishop of Ndola Diocese.
During this Mass, his Lordship, Bishop Dr. Phiri, acknowledged the contribution that the women have made to the diocese, especially in raising funds for the formation of priests.
He encouraged the women to continue to work hard towards building the church. He acknowledged that inevitably challenges will come, but reminded them to remain focused and to always seek for God’s grace.
Notably in attendance were the Pastoral Director, Rev. Ephraim Mapulanga, and the Deans of Ndola deanery and Bwana Mkubwa deanery, Rev. Fr. Thomas Chunika and Rev. Fr. Raphael Chanda, respectively.

After Mass, the Catholic Women’s Organization( CWO) held a ”Meet the Bishop” luncheon at the Diocesan conference hall in Ndola.
The Bishop of Ndola Diocese- Rt. Rev. Dr. Benjamin Phiri JCD, was the guest of honor. He was accompanied by the Pastoral Director- Rev. Fr. Ephraim Mapulanga, and the Dean of Ndola Diocese, Rev. Fr. Thomas Chunika.
The luncheon was a fundraising venture meant to help the CWO achieve its objectives. Below are a few highlights of the colorful event.
