On, 13th August 2022, the Youth of the Catholic Diocese of Ndola gathered at Nkana Staduim from all 10 deaneries to celebrate their Diocesan Youth Day (DYD). The Colourful celebrations began with Mass that was celebrated by the Acting Vicar General Rev. Fr. Bernard Kapembwa, who was standing in for the Bishop of Ndola- Rt. Rev. Dr. Benjamin Phiri JCD. The Diocesan Youth Day was held under the theme of Unity. During his homily, Rev. Fr. Kapembwa spoke about Sin being a major cause of disunity between youths and their parents and even amongst themselves. He also encouraged them to seek help when they feel overwhelmed with life from Priests, Sister and other qualified and capable individuals, and not to resolve to take ones own life. He spoken on the abuses of social media and encouraged the youths to be true to their faith. During Mass, the Youth of Ndola Deanery handed over the Diocesan Youth Day (DYD) Cross to the Host Deaneries Nkana, Kitwe and Kamfinsa Deaneries. Below are highlights.
