Today, 18th May 2021, the Catholic Diocese of Ndola owned radio station -Radio Icengelo celebrated it silver jubilee today. It was first established on 11th May 1996 and clocked 25 years on the 11th of May 2021. The celebrations began with Mass at Our lady of Africa Parish, Celebrated by Rt. Rev. Dr. Benjamin Phiri- Bishop of Ndola Diocese. It was then succeeded with a luncheon at the Radio Icengelo grounds. Due to COVID 19 the celebration were restricted to only invited guests. During the luncheon former employees of Radio Icengelo station where honored with gifts presented by Bishop Dr. Phiri. Below are a few highlights.
