2024 FREDS DAY
The 2024 Freds Day was a vibrant diocesan celebration held on 19th October, 2024, at St. Matthias Mulumba Catholic Church in Bwana Mukubwa, Ndola, under the theme “Celebrating 40 Years of Freds Family: Rooted and Built in Christ through Love, Joy, and Peace.” The event drew Freds members from across the region to celebrate their four decades of faith and fellowship. The day commenced with a solemn Mass celebrated by the Very Rev. Fr. Lewis Mutachila – The Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Ndola. During his homily, he emphasized the importance of building lives on the foundation of Christ and fostering love within the Freds community. Following the Mass, speeches were delivered that highlighted the organization’s journey over the past 40 years.A welcoming ceremony for new Freds members ensued, and awards were presented to individuals who had made outstanding contributions to the group. After a hearty lunch, the festivities resumed with an afternoon filled with lively entertainment, including games, singing, and dancing, which showcased the unity and joy of the Freds family. The event concluded on a joyous note, leaving participants inspired and grateful for the rich heritage of the Freds family.
