Marriage Encounter Members Celebrate Mass with Archbishop
The Cathedral of Christ the King in Ndola hosted a special Mass for the Marriage Encounter members of the Archdiocese of Ndola. The Mass, presided over by Archbishop Dr. Benjamin Phiri, JCD, marked a significant occasion as it was the first time he was meeting the Marriage Encounter group as a collective. During his homily, the Archbishop emphasized the importance of the family, describing it as the foundation of faith and moral values. He urged parents not to neglect their role in nurturing their children in Christian teachings. He reaffirmed the biblical definition of marriage as a sacred union between a man and a woman and encouraged the members to be living examples of strong Christian marriages, not just by wearing their uniforms but through their daily lives. A highlight of the Mass was the renewal of vows by the members, reaffirming their commitment to their spouses and the sacrament of marriage. The event was a moment of spiritual renewal and encouragement, reinforcing the Church’s vision of a thriving Christian family. The Archbishop’s message resonated deeply, leaving the congregation inspired to uphold the values of faith, love, and commitment in their marriages.
