Friday, 14th July 2023, the Catholic Diocese of Ndola Management and Staff held a Day of
Prayer, at Our Lady of Africa Parish, Riverside in Kitwe. The Day of Recollection was preached
by Rev. Fr. Chalwe Chonde, Radio Icengelo C.E.O. under the theme UNISON THROUGH
THE CROSS. We had two talks and reflections, cardinal points that came up during the event
were the four pillars that can bring about unity in our organization namely the aspect of praying
together, fellowship, appreciating one another’s gifts, and Eucharist (thanksgiving). He went on
to reflect with us on the centrality of the Cross which is the sign of love and liberation. It is also a
tree of life. The Day of prayer concluded with the Eucharistic celebration.
