Deacons-to-be make Oaths.

Deacons-to-be make Oaths.

Today, Thursday, July 25, 2024, during the End of Month Thanksgiving Mass for Ndola Archdiocesan Curia staff, Archbishop Most Rev. Dr. Benjamin Phiri, JCD, celebrated a significant moment as seminarians Katongo Mukuka, Vianney Kasonde Mutale, and William Ng’onga made their oaths. In his homily, Archbishop Dr. Phiri emphasized the significance of the vows the seminarians were about to take, particularly those of celibacy and chastity. He highlighted that these vows were not imposed upon them but were a free and deliberate choice, made in the presence of a cloud of witnesses. During the Mass, the candidates formally vowed and signed the necessary paperwork, solidifying their commitment to their spiritual journey. The celebration concluded on a joyful note, with the congregation looking forward to the Diaconate ordination of the seminarians on Saturday, July 27, 2024. The event marked a pivotal step in their dedication to serving the Church and its community.
