Christmas Day Mass
The festive spirit of Christmas enveloped St. Mathias Mulumba Parish in Bwana Mukuba as the faithful gathered for a Christmas Day Mass. The Eucharistic celebration, presided over by the Archbishop of Ndola Diocese, Dr. Benjamin Phiri, JCD, and concelebrated by Rev. Fr. Winfred Kunda. In his homily, Archbishop Phiri called on the congregation to embrace the transformative power of Christ’s birth. Highlighting the theme of true repentance, he urged the faithful to turn to Christ with sincere hearts and a commitment to changed behaviors and lifestyles. Stressing that this acceptance must be accompanied by genuine efforts to align our lives with His teachings. The Archbishop emphasized that Christmas is not just a celebration of tradition but a call to spiritual renewal and a deeper connection with God. He encouraged all present to reflect on their lives and embrace the path of righteousness, inspired by the message of love and redemption brought by Christ’s arrival. The celebration captured the essence of Christmas, reminding the faithful of their calling to live out the message of Christ’s birth through love, forgiveness, and a renewed dedication to their faith.
