ARCHDIOCESAN YOUTH DAY

Over 2000 youths from all corners of the Archdiocese of Ndola converged at Kitwe Boys Secondary School in Kitwe to celebrate the 16th Archdiocesan Youth Day (AYD) under the “THEME: YOUTH; LIVE CHRIST LIFE DO HIS WORK” MARK 1: 12- 45. The event took place on 22nd -24th of August 2024. The young people were accompanied by their animators in the company of the Archdiocesan Youth Chaplain Fr. Ackim Musenge.

The AYD reached its climax on Saturday with the celebration of the High Mass presided over by Archbishop Dr. Benjamin Phiri, JCD. In his homily, the Chief Shepherd preached on Prayer, Academic life, and the need for young people to be disciplined. Archbishop Phiri cautioned young people against delinquency being called “Junkie behavior” in modern time. He implored youths to ask for the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the mother of God.
