On 21st September 2024, Most Rev. Dr. Benjamin Phiri JCD, Archbishop of Ndola Archdiocese, celebrated a vibrant and spiritually enriching Holy Childhood Day Mass at the Fairgrounds in Ndola. Themed “Go and Invite Someone to God’s Banquet,” the event brought together over 8,000 children from all ten deaneries across the Archdiocese.
Led by the PMS Director, Fr. Kelvin Bwalya, the Mass was a special celebration with children taking an active role in the entire liturgy. From the readings and petitions to the offertory and choir, the young participants showcased their faith and talents, making the Mass both touching and lively.
Following the Mass, the day continued with various cultural performances, dances, and poems presented by the children. The atmosphere was filled with joy and excitement as the children interacted, shared a meal together, and celebrated their faith in a colorful and lively event.
Bishop Phiri blessed the children and shared a message of encouragement, urging them to emulate St. Matthew and share God’s word with others. The children left the event feeling uplifted and inspired by the Archbishop’s words and the excited by the blessing they received.
